How it works
WorkTime client applications track data about projects you work on,
applications you use, documents you work with, web-sites you visit and time
spent for every of these activities.
WorkTime can be setup to work in a client-server mode when all data
tracked by client applications is automatically stored into WorkTime
server database:
Main features
Collect data from the local network workstations (LAN)
Collect data from the global network workstations
(Internet)
View reports on the server workstation
Compare usage of different workstations
Offline mode
Local network - collecting data
WorkTime can work in a client-server mode collecting data form the local
network workstations to the server database.
Server database should be located on the server workstation (server workstation
is just a computer in your local network).
Global network - collecting data
If workstations are not in your local network, WorkTime can still collect
tracked data from these workstations to the server database through Internet
using TCP/IP protocol, email, FTP.
Client-server mode - viewing reports
If running WorkTime in a client-server mode, you can check usage of your
workstations right from your server computer (See Reports).
Compare usage of different workstations
Using comparison and filters functions you can compare usage of any workstations
(See Reports).
Offline mode
Offline mode is very useful if some of your employees work remotely or use laptops and
not always have connection to your server database when working, also if there are technical issues with network. Offline
mode is "responsible" for delivering accurate data to the server
database if there was no network connection to the server workstation
(See Offline Mode).
